It has been a LOOONG time.

Hiya, lj.
I feel like we broke up. Or maybe I moved on to bigger and better things?
(we both know this is not true).

So my little lj, I will make a concerted effort to visit more often.
After all, you are an old old friend.

In other news: How the heck is everyone in livejournal land? All good here. I guess a couple of quick updates:
Moved to England
Got married
Have two cattens, I love them dearly

Nutshell folks, all about the nutshell

Talk to you later

Spent the weekend in london,
and saw:
WICKED!!!!
But more importantly, I went to the national gallery and saw works by:
Monet
Pissaro
Van Gogh
Renoir
Bottecelli
Picasso
DA VINCI (!!!)
Michaelangelo.
Michaelangelo.
One more time- Michaelangelo.
It was so surreal, seeing al of these so up close.
Like, this isn't supposed to happen, I'm not supposed to see these things in real life, I'm just supposed to read about them in books.
Some of these paintings were over 500 years old, I can't even imagine.
Crazy.

I really am the luckiest person in the whole wide world.

Korea is a crazy crazy place.
There really is no way to describe it.
I'm loving it though.
Kimchi!
(That's just about all I know how to say. That and some stuff I have no idea how to spell so I'm not going to try...)

You stay classy port orchard.

I am aliiiiive! And back to lj.
No I am not dead, just in fucking KOREA bitches.

I have decided that I have the best job in the world.
In the last 2 months, I've been to 4 continents and several major world cities.
How lucky am I?
Very.
I love life.

Pictures of said life to come.

Sooo I have no phone here.
Trying to rectify that.

Aslo--- We work with british civilians here, and it is tooooo cool. I love talking to them.
Today I worked with a refueler on the flightline- it was fun.
He's from east London.
He says "free" instead of three, and "fink" instead of think.
I like it.
But he's also kind of creepy and old. And likes to look at naked pictures of women in his truck.
Ahem.

Other than that, not too much new.
Except my sleep schdule han't changed yet.
I'm still awake at 2-4 in the morning.
Poo.

So here I am at my new home: England.
It's so pretty, very green. And rainy. I won't be homesick for lack of rain.
I will miss the  mountains though.
The little villages around the area are so cute, and have open markets and pubs (by the way, I'm totally legal to buy and consume alchohol at my leisure- even on base... weird), and a lot of places to just walk around.
The base itself is so old,
almost all of the buildings are pre-WWII era, and all made of brick and have climbing vines and really cool pillars and patios and all that junk. The insides are all remodeled, so they still look amazing.
As for where I live, I have a pretty decent sized room to myself, a vanity/sink, desk, dresser, bed, walk-in closet, kitchen (with a dishwasher!!!), and a full bathroom.
Not bad.
Also, everyone here is sooo nice.
I'm loving it so far.
This weekend: London?

So here I am, waiting for my flight to London.
This is the opportunity of a lifetime,
but I have to say
that it would mean nothing if I didn't have something to come home to.
Which is you people.
I am truly the luckiest person in the world,
and being home has proved that to me.
I miss it so much already.
It's true that there is no place like home,
and my heart will always be in Washington.
I can't wait to be back.
Until then, I'm going to have the time of my life in Europe.
See ya later.
:)

Last day in squadron.
I am really unexpectedly sad.
So much has happened over the past 7 1/2 months,
and the friendships I've made and the changes that have happened have been so worthwhile.
I am sad to see it end.
I love the people I became close to, and don't really want to leave them.
But I get to come home and then start another life overseas.
I just wish life would slow down somewhat.

And the sad things is...

A box of duches (NOT mine) almost resulted in me not graduating.
True story.
Today was nuts.

There really is no place like home.
I can't wait to be back.
Like, I think some of you don't really know how much this means to me,
especially with everything that has happened since I've been gone.
Home is the best place in the world.
You're the best people in the world.
I'm so excited.
O!

So this wartime exercise I'm doing to graduate requires a non-disclosure agreement to participate in.
As in: We're in a top secret facility and I'm not allowed to discuss anything we do.
CRAZY.
Sometimes life just takes me by suprise.
